Being home and lonely or sick is never a good thing, especially during a crisis. Several of our caring parishioners belong to a “friendly visitor” ministry here at St. Brendan’s. They call and visit fellow parishioners to see how they’re doing, lift their spirits and even pray together. They can assist in getting help when needed.
The Coronavirus has forced the visitors to do so by telephone only, for a while. So if you would like somebody to give you a call now and then, the group has several good folks who would love to pick up the phone. They love to talk, so you would be doing them a favor if you would share some time with them on the telephone! All you need to do is call Rita Canfield on 910-287-6649 to receive calls. Also contact her if you want to be a friendly visitor. There are no meetings or reports or organizational red tape – just friendly calls.
